La Bodega has permanently closed

When it first opened in Bangsar in 1999, La Bodega was the first authentic tapas bar to open in Kuala Lumpur. The “tapas” concept of offering an extensive selection of small dishes, well priced wines from Spain and South America by the glass or bottle, and in a friendly, casual environment, proved immediately popular. The initial space became inadequate for the customer demand, and La Bodega expanded upwards- with the opening of the upstairs La Bodega Lounge, and laterally with the addition of the corner La Bodega Deli. Further expansion followed with additional outlets, replicating the same atmosphere, decor style and menus of the original, opening at Bangsar Shopping Centre, Pavillion KL, and most recently, at Empire @ Subang.

In addition to the core concept of “Tapas Y Vino”– the bars at La Bodega also specialise in offering a large selection of both classic cocktails and their own original creations.
The cocktail menu at La Bodega includes the “Classics”– such as Mint Julep, Singapore Sling, Bloody Mary, Mai Tai and Long Island Iced Tea. Margaritas are served in a number of varieties, and the Martini selections include- Appletini, Cosmopolitan, Ginger Cosmo, Fruitini, and Lycheetini. The list of Mojitos and Caipirinhas runs to over 15 versions- including LB Mojito, Kiwi Mojito, Lychee Mojito, Raspberry Mojito, and Passionfruit and Classic caipirinhas. Completing the cocktail selections are Coffee cocktails, Shooters, and Mocktails.

Spaniard Apple Berry Crush- Tio Pepe sherry, apple sour, strawberry purée, lime juice
Electric Blue Margarita- José Cuervo Gold, Cointreau, blue curacao, peach liqueur
Fruitini- Beefeater Gin, Kwai Feh Lychee, melon liqueur, mango juice, orange juice, Monin Blackberry
Apple Mojito – Bacardi Apple, Monin apple syrup, green apples,brown sugar, mint leaves
Sangria– A refreshing chilled punch made with red wine, dark rum, orange liqueur, orange juice & lemonade
Moko- illy espresso, Illyquore, gold rum, vanilla ice cream
Slippery Nipple– Sambuca, Bailey’s, grenadine
