Exotic cocktails in the acclaimed Polynesian-themed restaurant and bar, on the riverfront in Bangkok

Trader Vic’s restaurants feature a Polynesian-style of dining and decor and have proven a popular concept in over 25 locations around the world. First started in California in 1934, Trader Vic’s evoke the relaxed island lifestyle of the tropical Pacific islands, serving an enticing menu of Pacific Rim cuisines encompassing Polynesian, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, and Californian. Exotic tropical cocktails also play an integral role in the Trader Vic’s concept and the original founder is credited with creating the rum based Mai Tai cocktail back in 1944. The signature drink of the Trader Vic’s restaurants also lends its name to the Mai Tai (Tahitian for “the very best” ) cocktail bars and lounges.

The Mai Tai Bar in Bangkok is located within the Trader Vic’s restaurant on the riverbank at the Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa. The bar serves an impressive selection of exotic signature cocktails, plus many of the the classic refreshing cocktails.  The bar features comfortable seating in woven rattan chairs, or on timber stools at the bar. Additionally, there is an outdoor lounge area- undercover- featuring sofas and cushions. Mai Tai Bar is popular for both pre-dinner sunset drinks, or just for relaxing with friends and enjoying a few drinks in the stylish tropical setting.  Live musicians and DJs provide nightly entertainment, and the Happy Hour between 6pm and 8pm offers attractive deals on the drinks.
