The Peace Hotel on The Bund has recently re-opened after being closed for 3 years for extensive restoration works.
Originally named the Cathay Hotel when it opened in 1929- and changed to Peace Hotel in 1956.
The Jazz Bar is actually the oldest continually operating bar in Shanghai.
And the band is also from another era- the average age is 75- with the pianist being 88 years old.
