Decanter is an opulent wine bar at The St Regis Singapore, one of Singapore’s most luxurious hotel properties. Located on the lobby level and directly adjacent to the Astor Bar, Decanter offers the discerning wine connoisseur an impressive cellar of over 1,000 labels, sourced globally from acclaimed vintners. The selections range from aged vintages of the most renowned Old World wineries, to the contemporary wines of small artisan producers. The space is divided into two distinct rooms- at the entrance is the Tasting Room– featuring the enomatic system of wine dispenser that provides a selection of 16 labels of wine by the glass. And behind the set of imposing chromed brass doors is the Vintage Room– where the expansive floor-to-ceiling, glass encased wine cellar spans two complete walls of the room and asserts its “wow” factor.

The Tasting Room has a large tasting table fashioned in a traditional, elegant style from dark timber with a white marble top inlay. A series of luxurious leather lounge settings stand along one wall, large brass framed mirrors add a sense of spaciousness to the room. The wine dispenser units are installed into the stone faced wall- with the selection of 16 labels being regularly revised each month by the St Regis resident sommelier. Evening wine and cheese tasting sessions are complimentary for hotel guests.

Entered through the double brass doorway at the end of the Tasting Room, the Vintage Room is a discrete, private space dedicated to the serious appreciation of wine. Elegantly furnished with widely spaced table settings, the room exudes an aura of sophistication and style. The lighted, glass fronted wine displays are the visual highlight, providing an attractive presentation of the vast selection of wines available. Overhead, a series of elaborately crafted brass light fittings are suspended from the ceiling. The room can be divided with curtains into two discrete areas- ideal for small private parties, or dinners.
The wines range from the truly exceptional vintage Bourdeaux wines of Chateau Latour, Chateau Margaux, and Chateau Mouton Rothschild, and classic Italian Toscanas, to the modern styles of New World wines from the Napa Valley in California and the premier regions of Australia. The wine list encompasses all major varieties of red wines, white wines, champagnes, sparkling wines and dessert wines.
