Commanding a prime corner location at the apex of the main streets in the hugely popular Lan Kwai Fong nightlife area of Hong Kong, it is almost impossible to miss Stormies. With an open frontage that allows drinkers to spill out onto the pavement and roadway, and the distinctive, maritime themed decoration, Stormies boldly makes its presence felt in Lan Kwai Fong. Stormies occupies two levels of the corner building- with the ground floor bar catering for a boisterous evening drinking crowd of both city office workers and tourists, and the more restrained first floor restaurant serving an international menu featuring fresh seafood and grilled meats.
The compact ground floor bar space tends to fill up with customers early in the evenings. The folding full height, timber-framed windows along both sides open up, and during the evenings the main drinking action takes over on the street outside- accommodating a much larger crowd. Always popular for after-work or pre-dinner drinks, the bar stays open- and busy- until 2am. Attractive happy hour promotions on drinks run all the way through from 3pm ~ 9pm, and additional, themed promotions are also a regular feature at Stormies. The upper level restaurant has recently been refurbished with comfortable blue leather upholstered dining booths, and offers quality dining in a relaxed and casual environment.
Stormies is operated by the highly regarded Cafe Deco Group, and there is now a sibling Stormies outlet located at Elements above Kowloon MTR Station.

Inside the ground floor bar
The ground floor bar is decked out in a maritime theme- with teak timber flooring, brass nautical fittings- bulkhead lamps, clocks, barometers, and framed prints of sailing vessels battling stormy seas hang on the walls. The bar extends from the front entrance, gently curving down one side, and features a brass counter-top. At the rear of the room are some leather booth seats, with further seating at high tables arranged along the wall opposite the bar. At the street front, full height glass windows fold back to totally open the bar to the outside street.
The upstairs restaurant continues the “nautical themed” interior design- with a stylish, contemporary edge. High-backed blue leather sofa seating is arranged into a series of discrete booth settings- each holding up to six diners. Crisp white table clothes add an element of under-stated sophistication to the dining room.

Steaks include 12 oz US Prime Rib-Eye and 8-oz Fillet Mignon. Popular seafood selections include the Mixed Seafood Grill of salmon, king prawn, king crab leg, scallops, mussels & clams; and the Whole Grilled Lobster.
The Drinks Menu features all the pub favorites- bottled and draught beers, spirits, wines, champagnes & sparkling wines- plus selections of classic cocktails and martinis, and a series of concoctions named “Stormies Cocktails”– all with a maritime/storm essence- Hurricane- dark rum, light rum, orange juice, lemonade and grenadine; Cyclone – Absolut Citron vodka, grapefruit juice, Grand Marnier, & lemonade; and Black Rain- vodka, cherry brandy, cranberry juice & Coke.
