Delightful all-day dining venue on the riverbank terrace features lavish buffets and live cooking stations
December 17th, 2012
The Peninsula Bangkok enjoys a wonderful location on the banks of the Chao Phraya River that flows through the heart of the Bangkok metropolis, offering guests an enticing waterfront lifestyle experience. Whilst the main hotel tower is set back from the riverfront, two dining venues have been established at the water’s edge- River Cafe & Terrace, and Thiptara Thai Restaurant. River Cafe & Terrace features a casually elegant, waterfront all-day dining experience, combining buffets, and A la Carte menus of Asian and Western cuisines, served from live cooking stations. Guests can choose between indoor and outdoor dining spaces- both offering up-close vistas of the bustling river traffic.
River Cafe & Terrace serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily from 6:00 pm in the evenings, with last orders at 10:30 pm. The restaurant is easily accessed from downtown Bangkok by the frequent ( every 10 minutes up until midnight) hotel shuttle boats- traditional teakwood vessels that ply between the hotel’s private jetty and the pier at the BTS Skytrain Saphan Taksin Station- a short 5 minute passage.
The Peninsula Bangkok occupies a prime riverfront location on the Chao Phraya River – close to the business and shopping heart of the Bangkok metropolis. The prestigious hotel is consistently acclaimed amongst the upper echelon of the best hotels in Asia and the World, and offers both guests and local Bangkok residents the renowned Peninsula graceful service, together with exceptional dining experiences.
