Rustic-chic bar and stylish party venue at heart of Hong Kong’s vibrant Wyndham Street nightlife area

Taking inspiration from the exuberant bar and club scene on Ibiza, PuLP was launched by the Cafe Deco Group in June 2012 as a new bar and party destination in Hong Kong’s uber popular Wyndham Street nightlife district. With its bold, black fronted facade highlighted by bands of blue LED lighting, PuLP projects a distinctive presence onto the street scene, and the warm glow from the dimly lighted, rustic timber-lined interior exudes a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Set over two levels, the ground floor features an open frontage onto Wyndham Street with a prominent central bar and internal seating at leather upholstered booths long the side walls. Bar stools that line the open counter overlooking the pavement are the ideal perch for taking in the bustling street life. The upper level also sees both indoor and outdoor spaces- with an attractive terrace extending across the open front and overlooking the street below, and a largely open floor space inside allowing plenty of room for dancing to the party tunes of the house and guest DJs.
The spaces on both the ground and upper level are not large – with seating for around 40 guests, plus standing room for 80 on each floor- a comfortable scale for small groups enjoying after work drinks, or later in the night for the more serious party people. The nightly music program features the PuLP resident DJs, with regular parties and special promotions headlined with international guest DJs. PuLP is open from Monday to Saturdays, from 4pm until late. Table bookings are recommended for groups on the busy weekend nights and special events. With bars on both levels, drink service is efficient and friendly. The main bar on the ground floor is sleek and functional- faced with the rustic timber paneling utilised on the walls, and with a solid granite bar counter extending across all four sides. The beverage menu at PuLP offers a large selection of premium champagnes- in bottle sizes ranging up to the largest Jeroboam. A concise wine list features attractively priced bottles of both New World and European wines starting at HK$430, plus around 10 options by the glass. Additionally, selections of international beers, premium spirits and non-alcoholic drinks are all served at the bar.
The bartenders at PuLP specialise in creating fruity and refreshing cocktails, plus some innovative and quirky concoctions in their Signature Cocktails such as the Mad Hatters Tea Party– combining Dragon Vodka, Sour Apple Liqueur, blackberry jam, Earl Grey Tea, and with Liquid Nitrogen adding a “molecular” element. Other notable cocktails include the Fruit Martinis– made from a wide choice of fresh fruits including lychee, watermelon, mango, strawberry,passion fruit, blackberry, and apple; the Burnt Orange Negroni– Bombay Gin, burnt-orange infused Vermouth, Campari; and the Pulp Rob Roy– Cigar infused JW Black Label, sweet vermouth, bitters. And for the sweet temptations- dessert cocktails such as Creme Brulee Martini– Rum, Frangelico, Cacao White, Baileys, creme brulee syrup, Half & Half, served with vanilla ice cream; and the Choco’tini– Dragon Vodka, Kalhua, Baileys, Cacao White, vanilla syrup, served with vanilla ice cream.
Food service is limited to a compact menu of bar snack dishes such as Thai Shrimp Cakes; Chicken Satay; Braised Beef Meatballs; and regular favorites like Chicken Wings and Nachos.

The large central “island” bar straddles the indoor and outdoor spaces of the ground floor.
Leather upholstered booth settings feature on either side of the central bar.
Solid timber ceiling and wall paneling, together with subdued lighting, create an atmosphere of warmth and relaxed comfort.

The spacious dance floor area of the upstairs bar- sliding glass doors open out onto the outdoor terrace.
Extensive use of natural timbers provides rustic style to the dance space and bar- with booth seating on each side of the room.
