Paulaner Brauhaus Singapore welcomes back SALVATOR beer- from March 4th to 31st

Doppelbock or double Bock (bier), is one of Bavaria’s most popular beers with a much higher than typical content of original wort and volume of alcohol. This strong, hearty malt beer evolved from a time when monks were regularly required to castigate themselves with periodic bouts of fasting. During this time they ingested only water – or in their case beer, hence the name ‘liquid bread’. The first Lenten strong beer was brewed by Paulaner monks in Munich and they named this holy brew after their other passion – the Saviour or ‘Salvator’.
