Arabian cuisine has expanded throughout the Arabian Peninsula for thousands of year. It is a combination of a rich diversity of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Indian Food. The well-known essence of Arabian cuisine is its hospitality and generosity where guests are served large platters, to share amongst one another, including lamb, chicken, beef, cheese and Arabian rice, all seasoned with a variety of herbs and spices. One of the most used spices is saffron. Several side dishes and fresh vegetable salads can also be found in Arabian cuisine.
Arabian cuisine has been imminently influenced by Persian and Turkish cultures. Pilaf is a popular rice dish along Arab communities around the world. The taste of Arabian cuisine may differ across regions. For example, Mujadara in Jordan and Palestine is different from Mujadara in Lebanon and Syria.
