Authentic “gastropub” with fresh European brews and classic pub dishes opens at Greenbelt in Makati

Following the tremendous popularity of the original Draft Gastropub at Fort Bonafacio in Manila, additional outlets have recently opened within Metro Manila- at both Rockwell- and at the ever-fashionable Greenbelt complex in Makati. The European gastropub concept has been enthusiastically embraced by Manila’s urbanites- with the enticing combination of serving, in a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere, hearty European pub dishes with premium quality European draft beers, including famous global brands such as Paulaner, Stella Artois, Hoegaarden and Leffe, supplemented by an extensive bottle list of less familiar artisan brews.
The new Draft Gastropub outlet inhabits a split-level, indoor and outdoor space along the bustling strip of restaurants and bars at Greenbelt 2. The design closely replicates the template of the original Draft outlet at The Fort, featuring a contemporary European decor style with light timber paneled walls and dining tables, long main bar counter crafted from dark timber and topped with white marble, and with the high ceiling, making for a warm and engaging atmosphere.
Draft Gastropub at Greenbelt opens daily from 11:00 am until 2:30 am ( midnight on Sundays). Reservations are recommended for busy weekend nights.
Beers & Food
Serving a wide variety of the most popular European beers- both fresh on tap and bottled- at approachable prices- is the core attraction that draws hordes of happy diners to Draft Greenbelt. Fresh beers on tap include- Hoegaarden, Paulaner, Chimay, Becks, and Stella Artois. Additionally, the bar serves a deep list of over 50 imported bottled beers, heavy on German and Belgian labels, plus wines, spirits and cocktails.
Complementing the impressive beer selections, the kitchen serves an extensive menu brimming with hearty European pub-food favorites. An enormous blackboard covers the upper section of an entire wall- listing the multitude of dishes. Selections of dishes are grouped under headings that encompass salads, sandwiches, pastas, burgers, mussel pots, and grills, and a selection of all-day breakfast dishes. Some of the standout and most popular choices on the menu include the Fish and Frites- Sole fillets in a crunchy Becks beer batter, with salad, frites and tartare sauce; Mussell Pots- steamed in a variety of broths such as “Angry Drunk”, Tomato Saffron, and Mariniere; the Bleu Cheeseburger- US Angus beef burger with bleu cheese, onion jam, truffle aioli and frites; and the Steak and Frites– US Angus beef served with frites, green peppercorn sauce and a side salad.
Inside Draft Greenbelt
The boldly handsome main bar counter- crafted from dark timber with a white marble counter top, spans the entire length of one side of the interior. A mezzanine level at the rear provides additional seating, and is also popular for private functions.
The decor and interior design follows closely the style of the original Draft at The Fort- with the distinctive combination of blond timber furniture and the menu chalkboards covering the entire upper wall space.
An under-cover outdoor area on the front promenade at Greenbelt offers seating at high tables or booths along both sides. A separate bar services this area.

Sausage Platter- pork & fennel, bratwurst and frankfurter, served with marble potatoes in garlic, butter and parsley.
Mussel Pot– half-kilo of steamed mussels, served with frites, aoili and sourdough bread. Flavor options include “Angry Drunk Mussels”- with Hoegaarden beer, chili, onion & fresh parsley; “Tomato Saffron” and “Laksa”.
FISH AND FRITES- Sole fillet in a crunchy Becks beer batter, with salad, frites and tartare sauce.
