Craft beers & artisanal sausages served at hip new bar in Central

Recently launched onto Hong Kong’s emerging craft beer scene, Craft Brew & Co caters to discerning beer drinkers seeking a refreshing variety of beer styles and tastes beyond the predictability of the mainstream mass-market brands. Serving exclusively fresh local and international craft beers both on tap, and bottled, Craft Brew & Co eschews any products from the major global beer companies. As the perfect accompaniment to the flavourful craft beers, Craft Brew & Co also serves up a wide range of locally sourced gourmet sausage dogs. Favourably located in the burgeoning Soho district behind the Central office towers, Craft Brew & Co stands on the corner of Old Bailey and Staunton Streets – a few steps away from the plethora of bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood.
Occupying a compact, corner space Craft Brew & Co presents an industrial chic aesthetic with a raw, deconstructed facade that comfortably assimilates within the local streetscape. Open on both street frontages, steel and glass doors fold back to create a seamless connection between the pavements and the interior of the bar. Minimalist furnishings include rustic high tables set across the unpolished concrete floor, matched with steel framed bar stools. Behind the raw brick and concrete topped bar, 15 beer taps are set into the white tiled wall, while large blackboards list the beers currently on tap.
Headlining the beer program at Craft Brew & Co is a constantly evolving selection of draft beers served from the 15 available taps. Beer styles range from popular pale ales and wheat beers, to seasonals and the more robust IPAs and dark ales. The current list for bottled beers features around 30 labels sourced from notable international craft breweries. And from the kitchen, the menu features selections of both Gourmet Grilled Sausages and Craft Signature Dogs. Sausage varieties include both classics such as Bratwurst and English Pork Banger, and exotic game inspired varieties, including Crocodile, lime & coriander; and Cobra, Rabbit & jalapeno. Craft Signature Dogs include the Morrocan Lamb Merguez– with sweet peppers, cumin aioli & preserved lemons; and the Chili Dog– with house beef chili, yellow onion, shredded mozarella & sauteed jalapenos.
