Evoking an American diner aesthetic – harbourfront restaurant launches revamped menu & innovative cocktails

After opening on Singapore’s waterfront at One Fullerton back in 2009, Overeasy has enjoyed an impressive sustained popularity. Attracted by its cracking combination of terrific waterfront location, skillfully executed design concept, and accomplished renditions of American diner comfort dishes, Overeasy draws in a vibrant combination of office workers, local nightlife crowd, and tourists to its stylish diner-inspired interior and the expansive outdoor terraces. Taking inspiration from the iconic American diner that had evolved from 19th Century railroad dining cars into the idiosyncratic designs of the 1950’s streetside cafes, Overeasy cleverly pays homage to both the heritage design elements, and hearty comfort dishes typically served, to recreate the American diner experience on Singapore’s popular Marina Bay waterfront.
Another successful concept from the celebrated Lo & Behold Group ( see also The Black Swan, Tanjong Beach Club, Loof and The White Rabbit), Overeasy recently launched a totally refreshed menu of classic diner-inspired dishes, together with a revamped beverage program grounded on inventive cocktails and craft spirits. Conjointly, some subtle tweaks and minor refurbishments to the decor further enhance the quintessential diner-experience at Overeasy.
Taking a fresh interpretation of classic American diner cuisine, head chef Teow Wei Kiat has assembled an appealing new menu that embraces both his renditions of perennially popular comfort dishes, complemented by creative new dishes interpreted from the heritage of diner culture. Premium quality burgers now include the signature Truffle Burger, while other signature dishes include the Pan-seared Sea Bass with roasted corn, polenta and asparagus; a variation on the classic Mac & Cheese – the Mac & Cheeks with braised beef cheeks, gruyère & parmesan; and for sharing – the Linebacker Platter with OE fries, all-beef hot dogs, veggies & dip, Buffalo wings.
Enticing new Specialty Cocktail creations feature American-themed inflections and ingredients – exemplified by drinks like The Overeasy Spiked Milkshake – made from Plantation Original Dark Rum, vanilla bean ice cream & Grade A maple syrup; and the Orange County Sunrise – a blend of Fords Gin, fresh lemon juice, orange marmalade & Grade A maple syrup. Highlights among a wide selection of beverages include the ranges of both premium American Whiskeys, and Pure Malt Whiskies.
Overeasy serves lunch from Monday to Friday – with the Set Lunch promotion popular with corporates from the adjacent CBD.
