Creative Mediterranean inspired cuisine served at casual all-day restaurant
January 12th, 2015
Located within the Ovolo Southside boutique hotel in the Aberdeen district of Hong Kong Island, CIRQLE is a contemporary restaurant concept in sync with the relaxed urban hospitality vibe synonymous with the Ovolo brand. Ovolo Southside was recently (mid-2014) opened within a repurposed industrial building in a newly gentrified manufacturing and warehouse precinct on Hong Kong’s south coast, adding a stylish new hospitality and dining destination to the area. As the principal dining outlet within the hotel, CIRQLE offers all-day dining in a relaxed, unpretentious style that takes inspiration from a utilitarian, yet chic, canteen aesthetic. The creative cuisine at CIRQLE updates Mediterranean classics with Asian and Middle Eastern influences, turning out simple, well-executed dishes that are both healthy and flavoursome.
Occupying an expansive space on the fourth floor, CIRQLE offers both indoor and outdoor seating options, with tables on the outdoor terrace deck presenting engaging views across the district. Designed in harmony with the minimalist industrial-chic theme of the hotel, the pared-back CIRQLE interior features unpolished concrete flooring, extensive blond timber, exposed ductwork and simple canteen style timber and aluminium furniture.
In addition to a morning breakfast buffet, CIRQLE serves separate lunch and dinner menus – with the attractively priced Lunch Set offering selections of fresh salads, vegetarian, and tapas style options. Standout dishes from the dinner menu include the Lomi Lomi Salmon Salsa; Trofie Pasta with Maitake Mushrooms; Lebanese Goat Cheese & Fig Salad; and the Seared Saltbush Lamb Chops. Beverages served include wines by the glass, beers, fresh juices, homemade fresh lemonade, coffee and tea.
CIRQLE opens daily from 6:30 am until 11:00 pm – serving separate breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Menu updates and special events are listed on the CIRQLE Facebook Page.
