Neighbourhood mall hosts offshoots of popular local eateries and food purveyors & sociable dining spaces
August 6th, 2016
Opened in February 2016, The Commons has redefined the small-scale community mall concept that has enjoyed great popularity in Bangkok’s residential neighbourhoods in recent years. Located in the affluent Thonglor neighbourhood, The Commons has been conceived with a community-first focus – generously proportioned indoor-outdoor spaces are interspersed within the four-level complex – designed for casual gatherings, dining and community events. Taking inspiration from traditional public food markets, the main Market level hosts local artisan purveyors, and home-grown eateries and cafes set around the communal dining areas. With its eclectic assemblage of highly-rated eateries and lifestyle vendors, The Commons concept has attracted considerable local and international buzz – and is packed nightly with a vibrant clientele.
Created by the founders of local cafe Roast and the speciality coffee roaster Roots Coffee, The Commons is open daily from 8am until midnight – for both in-house dining or take home.
