Iconic restaurant re-opens with new interiors & cuisine by celebrity chef Luke Nguyen

Vietnam House - Wagyu Beef Pho

September 30th, 2017

Ho Chi Minh City’s newest culinary landmark is Vietnam House, an upscale Vietnamese dining experience conceived by WMC Group and celebrity chef Luke Nguyen. The charming restaurant is located on the corner of Dong Khoi and Mac Thi Buoi in the heart of District 1, evoking the historic charm of another era. The venue, a refurbished colonial French building that originally housed the Café L’Imperial in the 1900’s, boasts a reimagined nostalgic art deco interior with vibrant blue colours, wood panelling, marble flooring and columns, and mosaic glass dividers. The fabulous interior space compliments the contemporary Vietnamese cuisine created by internationally renowned Chef Luke Nguyen – with traditional Vietnamese dishes and familiar fresh local ingredients enhanced with modern culinary influences.

Cuisine. Start with Salmon Soft Rice Paper Rolls, an appetizing serving of rice rolls, seared salmon, green mango and dill. Move forward with Iberico Pork Skewers, which is the star of the banana blossom and purple cabbage salad sprinkled with fresh herbs. Other appetizers come with lettuce and fresh herbs so you can make your own wrap; choose from Alaskan King Crab; Wagyu Beef; or a vegetarian rice flour crepe. Enticing main courses include the slow-braised Australian Pork Ribs in coconut juice and served with carrot puree. And finally, finish with a Lemon Meringue Tart topped with strawberry ice cream or a house-made Silken Bean Curd in warm ginger syrup.

Drinks. Sit back, relax, and soak up the atmosphere while indulging yourself with the premium ca phe sua da, brewed from fine coffee beans. Or choose from Vietnam House’s expansive wine list, covering over 500 premium international labels.

Vietnam House is open daily for lunch (11 am – 3 pm), and dinner (5:30 pm – 11 pm).
