Room For More – contemporary whisky lounge in Singapore

Recently opened Room For More brings a new dimension to the conventional specialist whisky bars found in Singapore. A concept created by the ilLido Group headed by acclaimed restaurateur Beppe de Vito, Room For More breaks the mold of the traditional whisky haven as being a stuffy and pretentious destination (typically replete with leather Chesterfields and gentlemen’s club vibe) – with a contemporary style and casual demeanor to complement the fine whiskies. Located in the upscale dining and lifestyle enclave at Dempsey Hill, Room For More entices both whisky connoisseurs and sociable drinkers with a masterful curation of vintage Scotches, premium Japanese single malts, and globally sourced small-batch producers.

Taking a contemporary approach to whisky appreciation, the whisky menu of over 200 bottles features selections from lesser-known small-batch distilleries located in unconventional locales like Sweden, India and Czechoslovakia that complement the familiar big-name vintages from Scotland and Japan such as Yamazaki Distillery Reserve, Macallan 12 years Old Double Cask, Port Ellen Special Release 35-year-old and Glenlivet 1968. Most whiskies are available as 30ml shots at approachable prices – or 60ml double shots.

In addition to the fine whiskies, Room For More also serves other drinks – cocktails, fine spirits, beers and wine. And an adjoining private cigar lounge beckons with its rare Cuban cigars from famous houses – including H.Uppman, Ramon Allones, Partagas and Cohiba.

Room For More is open Mondays to Sundays from 3 pm to 2 am, with a Happy Hour promotion between 3 pm and 7 pm Mondays to Thursdays.
