Bangkok’s highest dining destination opens at the iconic King Power Mahanakhon tower
July 23rd, 2019
Standing atop the towering King Power Mahanakhon upscale residential and hotel development, Bangkok’s highest restaurant and bar opened in June 2019. Occupying the 76th and 77th floors, Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyBar offers an exciting new destination for elevated dining experiences and sophisticated mixology – accompanied by spectacular panoramic views across the metropolis. With both indoor and outdoor seating, guests can select between the luxurious brasserie-style restaurant, outdoor terrace settings for relaxed drinks, and private VIP lounges.
Heading up the culinary team, executive chef Joshua Cameron (previously based at New York’s famed Eleven Madison Park) has created an inspired menu combining Western and Asian dishes – prepared with a contemporary sensibility from premium fresh ingredients. Dishes that exemplify the wide range of culinary influences are dishes such as the Hokkaido Uni Panna Cotto – reimagining the classic Italian dish with Japanese ingredients such as uni, ikura, and yuzu ponzu; while the Mahanakhon Burger – is an expression of modern American cuisine that elevates the classic burger with sophisticated technique.
The expansive beverage list is headlined with well-executed classic cocktails – including pre-dinner favourites like Aperol Spritz and Negroni. Premier Louis Roederer champagnes are served by the glass – and bottle – while the wine list showcases a deep selection of top-class French and international wines. Whisky aficionados are rewarded with a well-curated collection of single malts, Japanese whisky, and American whiskeys.
Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyBar opens daily for drinks and dinner from 5:00 pm until 1:00 am. Table reservations are recommended.
