Smalls was established back in 2014 by David Jacobsen – the original founder and owner of Bangkok nightlife institution Q Bar. A multi-faceted venue housed within a pair of rustic 3-level shophouses in Bangkok’s Sathorn neighborhood, Smalls exudes a relaxed, welcoming ambiance and enjoys a strong following among an in-the-know crowd from the local arts, creative and hospitality fields. Serving a late-night dining menu that includes both French bistro dishes – together with burgers and pizza – plus a bar offering solid drinks and creative cocktails – guests can select from a range of comfortable settings across 3 levels – including the popular rooftop bar.
An eclectic interior decor showcases the impressive modern art collection of owner David Jacobsen, complemented by vintage furnishings in various spaces and private rooms within the raw brick shell of the original shophouses.
At the bar, head bartender Danny Yeung creates bold drinks – signature and classic cocktails – house-specialty absinthes, plus single malts, beers, and wine.
