Since opening in late 2017 – Firkin Bar – with its focus on personalised bespoke cocktail services complemented with an impressive whisky collection, has established itself among the leading cocktail bars in Ho Hi Minh City. Located in the heart of the District 1 nightlife zone around Dong Koi, Firkin Bar is found behind a nondescript street-level entrance – with a narrow stairway leading to the dimly lit bar space. Taking design cues from the classic whisky bars of Tokyo – the interior decor of dark timbers and luxurious leather furniture exudes an air of understated sophistication.
At the bar, knowledgeable bartenders guide customers with their drink recommendations – taking their personal taste and balance preferences to create bespoke cocktails. The informative drinks menu includes Signature cocktails, Bartenders Choice, classic cocktails, and monthly cocktail specialties and promotions.
Showcased behind the bar – the impressive whisky collection comprises hundreds of bottlings of aged and rare Scottish and Japanese single malts, American whiskeys, and bourbons – plus selections from both prominent and little-known international distilleries. Tasting flights allow guests to taste selected combinations of rare and aged expressions at affordable prices. Cigar aficionados are well-catered for with an extensive offering of premium cigars – with an outdoor terrace available for cigar smokers.
