Innovative cocktail program showcases sustainability and ingredient focused drinks

Launched in November 2021,Reka:Bar has garnered the attention of cocktail aficionados in KL’s increasingly sophisticated bar scene with its polished bar service and innovative cocktail program. Created by a team of accomplished bar industry professionals with leading roles in notable international bars such as Mr Fogg’s (London) and Singapore bars The Other Room and Native – at Reka:Bar they have combined to deliver world-class cocktail experiences with a focus on innovative flavour-forward drinks.
Unobtrusively located in an upstairs shophouse space within the upscale Damansara Heights residential neighbourhood, the Reka:Bar interior exudes a contemporary, understated sophistication – the sleek grey marble-faced bar counter seating 20 in two sections extends the length of the space – with leather banquette and table settings opposite. Drinks are served at the main bar counter- while the adjacent counter is home to the Flavour Lab – replete with advanced equipment such as the rotary evaporator and centrifuge.
Signature cocktails are presented in an illustrated menu titled “The Domino Effect”. The menu shows how each cocktail links to another with the use of a common ingredient – expressed in different forms. The result is a chain reaction of flavor while using the whole product, enabling the cocktails to be offered at accessible prices. Selected ingredients are processed at the Flavour Lab – using distillation to extract flavours, and other processes such as fermentation and clarification for creating the unique drinks.
In addition, to the main “Domino Effect” menu – Reka:Bar also create a series of seasonally-influenced Spotlight cocktail menus where the drinks are designed to highlight and explore the flavours of a specific idea or theme.
Complementing the drinks service, the in-house chefs at Reka:Bar serve an enticing menu of elevated bar bites, gourmet dishes, and desserts.
Reka:Bar opens daily from 6:00 pm – reservations for both bar counter seats and tables are recommended.
