Inspired by 1920’s New York – The Hudson Rooms delivers elevated bistro cuisine & polished mixology

Located within Hanoi’s historic “Old Quarter” district – and adjacent to the iconic Hanoi Opera House, Capella Hanoi was designed by acclaimed hospitality architect Bill Bensley to represent a Petite Auberge referencing the glamorous 1920s opera era  – a palace of revelry and the imagined rendezvous spot for opera’s greatest artists, singers, composers, stage and costume designers after the final curtain call.

Occupying an expansive space on the rooftop level of the luxury boutique hotel – The Hudson Rooms restaurant and bar offers refined bistro dining with a North American-influenced menu – together with enticing cocktail experiences at the sleek marble counters of the Whisky & Oyster Raw Bar. Inspired by New York’s Grand Central station of the 1920s, the art deco-inspired design artfully combines contemporary sophistication with retro travel references. An adjoining intimate members’ lounge – replete with an exceptional selection of 200+ rare whisk(e)y labels featured in the Whiskey Bible – offers discrete privacy in the dark-timber-paneled space – accessed by invitation only through a hidden entrance.

The Hudson Rooms cocktail menu is designed to include regionally inspired ingredients to represent train journeys of the 1920s and ’30s departing from the Grand Central Terminal: north to Canada, westwards across Chicago, south to Miami, and across the continent to coastal Los Angeles. Cocktails such as the North x Northwest – referencing the journey between New York and Chicago is a combination of Rye Whiskey, Rosso Vermouth, Rish Tea, Rasberry, Dairy, Lemon, and Clarified – while the train journey from New York to Miami is represented by The Royal Palm  – Caribbean-influenced with Rum, Scotch, Rosso Vermouth, Rose Apple, Apricot Liqueur, Aromatic Bitters.

The daily Rush Hour promotion features a selection of special cocktails served with a complimentary lobster and caviar seafood Hudson Dog. And don’t miss the signature rail travel-themed daily ritual when the red carpet is rolled out at 9:30 pm.

The Hudson Rooms opens daily from 11 am to midnight.
