Sophisticated Roman-inspired dining and cocktail bar above Esplanade launched by ilLido Group

Opened in September 2024, Baia is a new rooftop dining lounge bar by the illido Group, at the Esplanade Mall in Singapore. Baia – taking its name from an ancient Roman resort city favoured by the aristocracy of the period – occupies the entire 5,000 sq-ft rooftop space and offers panoramic views of Marina Bay and the city skyline. Created and designed by ilLido Group founder Beppe De Vito – the renowned chef behind leading local Italian dining concepts Amo, Sospiro, and Southbridge – the high-energy lifestyle venue features a chic interior with warm tones that accommodates up to 136 guests, while an outdoor patio space includes sheltered seating for a relaxing al fresco experience.
Baia offers a world-class cocktail experience, complemented by its sophisticated ambiance and breathtaking views. The venue’s dynamic calendar ensures each visit is unique and captivating, promising unforgettable moments that elevate the nightlife experience. Baia’s vibrant atmosphere is enhanced by high-energy beats and curated entertainment, including performances by resident DJs on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with exciting collaborations by local and international guest bartenders.

The innovative cocktail program at Baia is curated by renowned beverage consultancyProof & Co, highlighted by the cocktail menu arranged under three categories – SOL, NOX, and MOSAICS. SOL cocktails feature refreshing aperitivos such as the Strombolian, which combines the bold flavours of Campari, Blood Orange & Mandarin, topped with Are. NOX cocktails channel the Roman goddess of night – with indulgent high-octane cocktails exemplified by the Eclipse – a blend of barrel-aged Ferrand 1840 Cognac, freshly brewed espresso, finished with a touch of Vanilla Choco Espuma. And finally, MOSAICS feature a collection of shareable, quick-serve drinks ideal for small groups – the standout Oasis Punch is served in a large bowl – a flavourful combination of St Germaine, Prosecco, Grapefruit Marmalade, Butterfly Pea, Lemon, and fresh garden herbs.

Complementing the cocktails, Baia serves a menu of elevated small plates featuring a wide range of dishes including raw bar selections of caviar and Japanese oysters; gourmet pizzas; charcuterie and cheese; charcoal-grilled meats and seafood; and decadent desserts.
Operating hours at Baia are Sunday to Thursday from 5 pm to 12 am, and Friday to Saturday from 5 pm to 1 am.
Baia has been designed to comfortably host corporate events, weddings, cocktail parties and the like – with event catering packages ranging from intimate gatherings of 20 – up to grand celebrations of 400 guests.
