New menu pays spirited tribute to an age of elegance, bold style, and celebration

ATLAS recently debuted its highly anticipated 2025 drinking menu, Gazette du Bon Ton, a glamorous celebration of life, style, and the golden era of cocktails. Inspired by the influential early 20th-Century French magazine of the same name, the menu captures the creative spirit of the 1920s to 1940s, when fashion, music, and social life embraced modernity with confidence.

Much like its namesake publication, which famously inspired Vogue, this new menu is built around the idea of bon ton — timeless good taste. Designed to read like a luxury European lifestyle magazine, the menu is divided into four evocative chapters. Each chapter captures a distinctive facet of the era: the effortless elegance of 1920s fashion in En Vogue; the bold innovation of the 1925 Paris World Fair in To The Great Fair; the exuberant rhythm and rebellious spirit of the Jazz Age in In Full Swing; and the decadence of grand, glittering soirées in The Spectacle. These chapters also gently ascend in strength, from no-ABV creations to the boldest drinks on the list, offering a journey through both taste and time.

Among the menu highlights is Miss Rouge, a sophisticated no-alcohol creation blending spiced spirit, verjus, basil tea, and salt, finished with a nasturtium leaf; a tribute to the era’s bold new approach to beauty and self-expression. The Streamliner is a clarified milk punch with pisco, fino sherry, green tea, almond, and honey; a nod to the elegance and excitement of transatlantic voyages aboard 1920s ocean liners.

Let’s Misbehave, inspired by the cheeky Cole Porter anthem, combines American gin, sloe gin, bitter bianco, spiced liqueur, and honey in a bold, jazzy blend garnished with a torched cocktail onion. For those who appreciate drama and depth, Midnight in Ruins is a reflection on the fleeting magic of the most legendary parties, offering a moody mix of rye whiskey, cherry-infused port, Italian bitter liqueur, and grappa.

Anchoring the new menu is the ATLAS London Dry Gin, used to stunning effect in cocktails like the ATLAS Martini and ATLAS French 75. Distilled to capture the elegance of classic gin with a nuanced botanical profile, it reflects the bar’s enduring passion for gin and its deep reverence for the spirit’s role in cocktail history

Visually, the menu’s identity is just as considered as its content. Each page features hand-detailed illustrations by UK artist Adrian Pack, rendered in the distinctive pochoir style made famous by the Gazette du Bon Ton. These artworks echo the refined aesthetics and vivid storytelling of early 20th-century fashion plates. As with the magazine that inspired it, Gazette du Bon Ton is both a pleasure to browse and a window into a world where style, celebration, and taste reigned supreme.
