Enticing new cocktail lounge features creative cocktails and eclectic cutting-edge music

A recent addition (May 2012) to the burgeoning Bonifacio High Street lifestyle development in central Manila, Rocket Room is a refreshing concept that successfully blends a first class cocktail bar with an upbeat lounge-cafe. The compact, glass encased space is drenched in sunlight during the day, creating a relaxed and welcoming environment to enjoy a snack or meal, coffee or cocktail. And in the evenings, Rocket Room transforms into a chic, unpretentious destination for sublime cocktails, late night drinks, and on weekends, the vibrant scene of DJs playing retro and futuristic sounds.
The daily THE ROCKET HOUR promotion- between 4pm and 8pm- sees special prices on wines by the glass, the House Infused “Rocket-Tinis”, and Buy 1 Take 1 on local beers.
Rocket Room enjoys a symbiotic relationship with its sibling venue next door- STELLA– a contemporary bistro featuring a modern cuisine cooked in signature wood-fired ovens. Both venues share the kitchen facilities, and although each has their own distinct menu, cross-ordering is welcomed. Rocket Room and Stella are the latest projects from the acclaimed Raintree Restaurants– who operate highly regarded Manila restaurants such as Chelsea Market Cafe, Museum Cafe, and Mr. Jones.

The interior design of Rocket Room elicits an invigorating flair with its retro themed influences juxtaposed onto a bright, open contemporary space. The full length bar counter anchors the room, with seating at the bar on retro-styled curved steel framed bar stools that feature cowhide upholstery. Opposite the bar, white topped cafe tables face a full-length leather banquette. An internal wall of glass above the back of the banquette opens the space into the neighboring Stella bistro. Flooring of blue and white mosaic tiles, matches with the white ceilings and vibrant “Mediterranean” blue walls.

SELECTED ROCKET ROOM COCKTAILS
The drinks selection at Rocket Room is highlighted by the House Infused spirits that impart their unique flavours of fresh tropical fruits and spices to the original cocktail creations. The specialty House Infused spirits are also served as shots- standouts inlcude Jalaeno Pepper Vodka; Lychee Junmai Sake; Mango Silver Tequila; and Red Cherry Whisky. Cocktails listed include both the “Crafted” concoctions of original and unique creations; and the “Classically Twisted” which feature Rocket Room’s versions of the classic cocktails such as The Mai Tai; The Negroni; The Mojito; and The Margarita.
In addition to the cocktails, Rocket Room have a good selection of wines available either by the glass or bottle, plus a large range of both imported an local beers.
The Rocket Plates– include selections of hot or cold small tapas-style dishes; plus Wood-Fired Pizzas; Pastas; Salads and Panini Pressed Sandwiches.

A GIRL WITH VIOLET EYES– Mojito style- Mixed berries, Apple Rum, Honey, Lychee, lot’s of mint.
A RUSSIAN IN VIENNA (The White Russian)- Vodka, Kahlua, Cream & Goldschlager.
BERRY BLOSSOM- House infused Berry Vodka, Pimm’s, Sparkling wine.
