ABOUT
One of three restaurants within the spectacular beachfront edifice that is home to the renowned Potato Head Beach Club on Bali’s ultra-popular Seminyak Beach, Tapping Shoes delivers an exquisite modern French culinary experience in an elegant upstairs dining room overlooking the Indian Ocean. Exuding an air of nonchalant sophistication, an attribute which the team behind Potato Head have artfully mastered, Tapping Shoes admirably elevates resort beachfront dining- attracting a discerning clientele of gourmet travelers with both its consummate gastronomy, and its wonderful setting.
Heading up the kitchen at Tapping Shoes, Japanese-born Chef Hiraku Take has crafted a polished modern French cuisine, which, while solidly grounded in classical French cooking technique- finely honed from his more than twenty years experience in Michelin-starred French restaurants in both France and Japan- also showcases his flair for contemporary creativity and presentation. Working with carefully selected fresh local produce, Chef Take cooks an impressive repertoire of dishes, with an A La Carte dinner menu served Tuesday to Saturdays, and a sublimely indulgent Sunday Brunch. With a limited number of tables in the intimately proportioned dining room, bookings are recommended.

Inside Tapping Shoes Restaurant
Full height glass windows on three sides suffuse the Tapping Shoes dining room with natural light during the day, and the colorful lights of the downstairs bar & lounge areas in the evenings. And of course – there are the views…. from every table.
Consistent with the Potato Head design aesthetic, Tapping Shoes showcases an eclectic assemblage of artwork and decorative pieces- overlaid on the under-stated sophistication of the room- adding an element of irreverent playfulness to the fine dining experience.
Contemporary elegance and casual sophistication are the hallmarks of the Tapping Rooms decor. Classic crystal chandeliers and antique candelabra blend harmoniously with the crisp modern table furnishings.
Front corner tables enjoy fabulous ocean and beach views through the full height glass- day & night. Windows can be opened to allow the ocean breezes to flow through the room.
At the front of Tapping Shoes- down a few steps- a terracotta-paved outdoor terrace offers a delightful setting for enjoying drinks before or after dining. Exclusively for guests at Tapping Shoes.
