Fifty Seven is a contemporary lounge bar & restaurant with inspiration from the style of New York’s 57th Street- where East Manhattan meets West Manhattan. Conveniently located near the upmarket Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi, Fifty Seven occupies an expansive basement space with high ceilings and a general sense of openness. The interior has been designed by a noted New York architect, known for his work on leading New York resataurants such as “Sascha” and “Del Posto“. Within the overall space there are six defined areas- the stylish main bar, an “island” styled counter, a luxurious lounge, the elegant main dining area, the 57 private dining room, and exclusive VIP rooms.
The kitchen at Fifty Seven has been overseen since August 2010 by celebrated chef Frederick Bowden– who brings over 25 years experience at some of the finest luxury hotel kitchens in Japan. The dishes on the new menu reflect a New York grill style of cuisine, with offerings such as NY Strip, Filet and Sendai Wagyu. Other outstanding dishes include Beef Carpaccio drizzled with lime and olive oil, and Roast Pork Tenderloin.
The cocktail menu at the bar has probably the largest selection of martinis and mojitos in Tokyo, plus a range of domestic and international beers, premium spirits, and a comprehensive wine list with vintages from both New World and Old World wine regions.
Since opening in 2007 Fifty Seven has quickly gained a significant postion in the Tokyo nightlife scene and is a highly popular destination for after-work drinks, dining with friends or business colleagues, and also for hosting special events.
