Riverfront restaurant & bar pulls in the crowd with contemporary tapas dishes and nightly live music

Octapas, a Spanish-themed tapas bar and restaurant, attracts a diverse clientele of visitors and locals with its authentic Spanish cuisine and upbeat party vibe. Prominently located within the Clarke Quay dining and nightlife hub, Octapas offers casual lunchtime dining, afternoon and evening happy hour drinks, and transitions into a late night party spot with live entertainment. The kitchen team prepares traditional tapas and modern Spanish cuisine, with guests having the option of drinks and tapas at the outdoor riverside tables, or alternatively relaxing within the air-conditioned comfort of the interior dining and bar spaces. Later in the evenings, Octapas transforms as the top-class international house band plays vibrant renditions of top 40’s tunes – with the party continuing until late in the night.
Design Set within one of the refurbished riverfront shophouses of Clarke Quay, Octapas has an attractive contemporary decor, notable for the combination of warm timbers, raw brickwork and terracotta floor tiles that reference a Catalan tapas bar heritage. The interior bar and dining spaces exude a comfortable, understated sophistication, while outdoors on the riverfront promenade, a large elevated terrace overlooks the Singapore River – with awnings overhead that protect from the tropical heat and any rain.
Cuisine Recently launched, the new menu features a refreshed take on authentic tapas and Spanish dishes. The appetising menu features selections of traditional tapas, and paella dishes – updated with contemporary culinary trends, together with new vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. Desserts are a specialty, with standout favourites like the Churros and Crema Catalan. To complete the authentic tapas dining experience, a selection of Spanish regional wines feature on the well-priced wine list – with other options including Spanish specialties such as house-made sangria and sherry – plus a concise list of classic and signature cocktails.
Octapas opens daily from midday to 1:00am – with 2:00am closing on weekend nights. The kitchen serves lunch and dinner – plus drinks and tapas are available all day at the bar. Table reservations are recommended for the evenings.
