Taking inspiration from 1930’s Shanghai, Avenue Joffre is a stylish contemporary Chinese restaurant in Singapore specialising in authentic Shanghainese cuisine. Located within the Resorts World Sentosa casino and lifestyle complex, Avenue Joffre serves an extensive array of Chinese dishes created by an impressive culinary team headed by acclaimed Master Chefs from China. In addition to the headline Shanghainese cuisine, Avenue Joffre also offers selections from the popular regional cuisines of Guangdong (Cantonese), Szechuan, Zhejiang, and Beijing. The Master Chefs elevate traditional cooking methods with contemporary culinary influences and attractive presentation to create outstanding dining experiences. Understated elegance permeates the various dining spaces – where historical references to the vibrant culture of 1930’s Shanghai blends comfortably with a modern Chinese aesthetic.
Design Named after one of the notable avenues within the French Concession district of Shanghai, the restaurant facade design recalls the colonial era style combining a Chinese cultural heritage with European architectural form. The interior decor features an attractive marriage of heritage and contemporary influences with a light toned palette, natural timbers, and cream leather dining chairs, highlighted with nostalgic photographs and memorabilia that reference the cinematic and cultural fashions of 1930’s Shanghai. In addition to the main dining sections, a series of semi-private spaces and luxurious VIP private dining rooms offer exclusive dining experiences.
