Eclectic decor and live jazz and energetic vibe evokes 1960’s New York back alley clubs
June 6th, 2017
Conceived as a sophisticated alternative to the stereotyped lounge and nightclub concepts of Singapore’s nightlife scene, Lulu’s opened in April 2017 within the PanPacific Hotel. Eschewing entry fees and minimum spends on tables, Lulu’s is targeting a more discerning clientele with a concept that evokes a 1960’s New York back alley style club with its eclectic decor and relaxed party vibe. Open Wednesdays through Saturday, the Lulu experience evolves from laid-back evening drinks to late night partying with live jazz and DJs highlighting a series of themed nights. A collaboration between the experienced nightlife and hospitality SJS Group (also behind the mega-popular Employees Only Singapore); and respected local restaurant operators The Prive Group (Prive Cafes).
Entering Lulu’s, guests can expect a carefully crafted decor that melds retro and contemporary elements such as timber panelling, plush Chesterfield sofas, and relaxed lounge settings. Live jazz musicians and DJs feature on the weekly themed nights, with entertainment continuing into the early morning. Beverages at Lulu’s are headlined by a list of signature cocktails that feature playful twists on popular classic cocktails, while the stylish bottle service showcases an impressive list of premium whiskies, tequilas and mezcals.
