Offshoot of bartender Hidetsugu Ueno’s famed Tokyo-based Bar High Five opens at Attire House

Established in early 2017, Bar De Luxe is a luxurious Japanese-style cocktail bar in Hong Kong that has been brought to life by Ueno Hidetsugu, the legendary mixologist and owner of Tokyo’s internationally renowned cocktail mecca, BAR HIGH FIVE.
Ueno san’s protégé at Bar High Five, Yuriko Naganuma, has moved from Tokyo to spearhead the launch of Bar De Luxe as Head Bartender. Her vast experience and mastery of bartending are showcased daily behind the bar at Bar De Luxe. The opening of Bar De Luxe is the result of a partnership between luxury gentlemen’s outfitter Attire House and Bar High Five Tokyo, marking their first-ever collaboration outside of Japan. The legendary Bar High Five from Ginza, Tokyo, is run by celebrated mixologist Hidetsugu Ueno, a decorated veteran of the bar industry who has won countless awards and sits on the judging panel of the Diageo World Class Bartender of the Year annual awards.
Not to be missed for the polished cocktail service and complimentary bar bites, the Luxe Hour between 8:30 pm and 10:30 pm on Mondays to Wednesdays. Guests ordering two Luxe Hour cocktails receive a complimentary Mini Iberico Grand Cru Huelva‐Jabugo. In addition to a selection of classic cocktails, other standout cocktails (priced at HK$150) include the Balalaika with vodka, Cointreau and lemon juice; Yokohama, made with gin, vodka, fresh orange juice, grenadine syrup and absinthe, and the Paloma with tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, soda and salt.
