East Mediterranean-inspired cuisine & refreshing drinks at newly opened Roberston Quay eatery
June 26th, 2017
A recent opening at Singapore’s popular Robertson Quay riverfront dining and lifestyle enclave, Summerlong is the latest creative dining concept by the partnership behind standout local eateries Neon Pidgeon and Fat Prince. Taking its inspiration from both the casual vibe of beachside cafes, and the fresh and healthy cuisines of the Eastern Mediterranean, Summerlong entices diners with its breezy style and the appetising menu created by Neon Pidgeon Head Chef Justin Hammond. The casual beachside aesthetic is channelled via a neutral colour palette with warm natural wood contrasting with the polished concrete floors and whitewashed walls – matched with a simple and clean decor.
Cuisine Dishes on the Summerlong menu that epitomise the Eastern Mediterranean influenced cuisine include the Greek Style Burratina cheese accented with tangerine, coriander and honey; Mediterranean Smoked Pork Ribs with a pomegranate glaze and dukkah crust; and Persian Fried Chicken with mint-honey sauce, harrisa and dukkah. On weekends Summerlong serves a brunch menu, coffee and refreshing cocktail pitchers.
Drinks At the Summerlong bar, group Bar Manager Symphony Loo has created a list of creative cocktails that evoke the meld of Mediterranean cuisine and beachside ambience. In addition to easy-to-drink cocktails, the bar also serves up pitchers of refreshing drinks such as the Summerlong Spritz made with Aperol, Cava, grapefruit and soda.
Summerlong opens Tuesdays to Fridays (closed on Mondays) from 5 pm – while on the weekends, a brunch menu is served from 11:30 am to 3 pm, and dinner from 6 pm.
