Glamorous new rooftop nightlife destination combines craft cocktails, tapas & live music
June 21st, 2019
Recently opened at the Hyatt Regency Bangkok, Spectrum Lounge & Bar, is Bangkok’s newest rooftop bar – a glamorous destination for evening drinks and tapas, luxurious private dining, and live jazz and DJ music. Occupying the upper 3 levels of the hotel tower in the bustling Sukhumvit district, Spectrum distinguishes as a multi-faceted venue with an assemblage of intimate and open terrace spaces to offer guests a variety of experiences.
Conceived by internationally acclaimed Japanese design studio Super Potato – the multi-level space takes its cues from a luxurious penthouse experience – with a succession of interconnected spaces including an open kitchen, living room, study, and indoor bar – extending outdoors with a series of terraces on the 30th and 31st levels. Known for their masterful application of earth tones with wood and stone materials – Super Potato have inflected the interior design with Thai craft and art references, while a range of lighting tones set a relaxed and inviting mood within individual spaces.
Food. Dining options at Spectrum range from casual tapas for sharing on the outdoor terraces – to dining in the interior lounge spaces – and private dining in the study. Snack menu choices include international and Thai cuisines – with standout tapas including wagyu beef sliders, crispy soft shell crab with tamarind sauce on a taro fritter, and smoked Scottish salmon & Russian caviar bagels.
Drinks. The drinks list features craft cocktails such as Mad Mango – a chili-infused vodka blended with mango puree, spicy mango, elderflower and chili; and Giant Pandan – combining harmony vodka, grapefruit juice, Midori, lime, egg white, bitters, and pandan. A comprehensive beer selection includes local craft beers, while the well-curated selection of premier international wines offers ideal accompaniments for diners.
Spectrum is located at levels 29-31 of the Hyatt Regency Bangkok. Opening hours 5:30 pm to 1 am – with live jazz and DJs nightly.
