With a name inspired by the meaning happy, free and relaxed, contemporary Chinese restaurant Sui Tang Li in Shanghai serves a menu composed of creative and contemporary Chinese dishes, influenced by regional cuisines – Shanghainese, Sichuan, and Cantonese. Set within the refined luxury of The Middle House – an intimate urban hotel in the historic lane-house location of Shanghai’s Dazhongli neighbourhood – Sui Tang Li has become a destination for authentic Chinese cuisine elevated with modern culinary techniques and presentation.
The contemporary Chinese cuisine is complemented with a beverage program that features a curated selection of drinks based on the Chinese five elements – Earth, Fire, Wood, Metal, and Water. Handcrafted cocktails are served alongside an extensive selection of premium wines and Chinese teas.
Highlights from the drinks menu include the Golden Buddha (RMB 88), a blend of Jasmine Tea Infused Vodka with Osmanthus and Floral Anxi Tie Guan Yin tea; Her Favourite Boulevardier (RMB 88), a Pineapple Rum, Aperol, Vermouth Rosso and Sui Tang Osmanthus Cordial concoction; and the Naughty Ball (RMB 88), a mix of Shaoxin Hua Tiao Chiew, Yakult, Cranberry, Peach Bitters and Roasted White Sesame.
On the level above the restaurant – the intimate lounge Sui Tang Shang – serves cocktails and other beverages all day.
