Newly opened Italian-inspired cocktail lounge & restaurant at Kimpton Mai-Lai Bangkok

Recently opened within the luxury Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok hotel, cocktail bar and restaurant Ms. Jigger features authentic Italian cuisine complemented with a narrative-driven cocktail menu. Taking inspiration from the travels of fictional connoisseur Ms. Jigger – the restaurant and bar exudes a welcoming warmth with its stylish, sophisticated interior design – while under the direction of Head Chef Danilo Alassa, the menu of classic northern Italian cuisine is elevated with locally sourced organic produce and contemporary technique. At the bar, head bartender Lorainne Spach has created an enticing collection of inventive cocktails – each with its own back story and presented in a vintage map format menu.
Elevating the cocktail experience at Ms. Jigger, the Clinebell premium artisanal ice process creates pure, crystal clear ice that is harder and colder than regular ice – the hand-carved ice slows the melting rate and is customised for each cocktail. Another stand-out feature at the bar are the table-side cocktail trolleys. Cocktails are crafted from premium spirits while connoisseurs can select from the “Spirits Library” – a collection of bespoke, single-batch, and rare spirits.
The menu concept of classic Italian cuisine has been influenced by the head chef’s Piedmont origins – and served in tasting portions for sharing among friends. Hand-tossed pizzas like the 24-Month Parma Ham, and the traditional meatballs with spicy tomato sauce – Polpette al Suo Piccante con Pecorini Romano – epitomise the culinary style of Ms. Jigger.
Ms. Jigger opens daily (except Tuesdays) from 5:30 pm until midnight for drinks and dinner, and a weekend lunch menu is served between 11;30 am and 2:30 pm.
