Waterfront bar with spectacular views across Chao Phraya River to Wat Arun
May 27th, 2022
Located on the riverbank of Bangkok’s evocative Chao Phraya River, chic boutique hotel Sala Rattanakosin was crafted within a repurposed 4-level shophouse in the historical heart of the bustling warehouse district of “Old Bangkok”. Surrounded by some of Bangkok’s most iconic cultural destinations including the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun) on the opposite river bank, and Wat Po (Reclining Buddha) directly behind the 15-room hotel, Sala Rattanakosin entices with its urban-chic contemporary aesthetic, offering delightful dining and drinks experiences.
Riverfront-facing dining spaces include the sala rattanakosin eatery and bar – serving exquisite Thai and international cuisine; an intimate private dining space for 12 guests on the 2nd floor; and the open-air Rooftop Bar. On the rooftop, seating options include counter seats on the bar deck and comfortable lounge settings.
An extensive drinks list includes signature cocktails such as The River; Monkey Sour; and Chao Phraya Gin Fizz; plus a wide selection of classic cocktails and refreshing mocktails, Thai craft beers, and wines.
Complimenting the drinks, the kitchen serves a concise bar food menu (Friday to Sunday 5 pm-10 pm) – featuring yakitori grill skewers, tasty Thai bites, and other light and healthy snacks.
Reservations are recommended – particularly around the popular sunset hours.
