Neighbourhood jazz bar showcases local musicians – and well-executed classic cocktails

Located behind a non-descript street-level entrance of a commercial building in the Sukhumvit residential district of Bangkok, Alonetogether is a popular destination for patrons who enjoy live jazz – accompanied by classic cocktails. In operation since 2019, Alonetogether shares DNA with sibling local cocktail bars Sugarray Apartment and Thaipioka – focusing on delivering personalised bar service with an emphasis on classic cocktails. Nightly (except Mondays) live jazz performances feature a revolving roster of popular local musicians, complemented by visiting guest performers.
Occupying two levels of the shophouse – guests enter through a narrow space comprising the long timber bar – which opens out into a more spacious lounge area and performers’ space. On the upper-level guests can relax in the plush cigar lounge and whisky bar. The decor throughout evokes a restrained refinement with dark timber tones and dim lighting.
Behind the bar, the friendly and knowledgeable bar team serves house cocktails from a concise list of classics – ranging from gin-forward drinks such as Aviation, Clover Club, Singapore Sling, and Coffee Gin Fizz; to whisky-based cocktails such as Godfather, New York Sour, and Old Fashioned; and with other variations on classics like Smoked Colada, Screwdriver and Blue Hawaii. Cocktails are elevated with premium spirits, contemporary mixology techniques, and local ingredients.
