Tippling Club – progressive restaurant & bar in Singapore

Earlier this month Tippling Club launched the latest iteration of the bar menu –  A Guide to Modern Drinking, Volume III – 6 Decades of Music. The new menu, designed by head bartender Arathorn Grey, mixes six decades of music with a complementary collection of 31 new cocktails. Each drink pays homage to an artist and their music – with guests able to listen to a curated playlist downloaded from a Spotify link on the menu as they sip their cocktails.

Each new cocktail is named after an artist and one of their iconic songs, representing the cultural zeitgeist of that decade. Cocktails are crafted as a continuation of the gastronomical journey undertaken in Volume I & II menus, championing exotic, uncommon ingredients, blended together with contemporary techniques. The 6 Decades of Music collection commences with the 1940’s – exemplified by the cocktail inspired by Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas”  – a sweet and creamy mix of Metaxa, Christmas mix, snowflake, cacao, and cream. Subsequent featured decades include cocktails such as the 1960’s Savoy Truffle by The Beatles; the 1970’s Gold Dust Woman by Fleetwood Mac; to the 1990s era of pop, rap, and alternative music including Big Poppa by Notorious B.I.G..
